The Institute for Biomedical Sciences’ interdisciplinary academic programs prepare students to succeed in the 21st century biomedical workforce and give them a competitive advantage. These unique programs integrate instruction in biomedical science, business and law and foster desired soft skills, equipping students to be the well-rounded candidates sought in the biomedical industry.
Sudeep Lama entered the M.I.S. program because he had no interest in taking on a traditional role in biomedical research or medicine. Through his internship experience with Bioserenity, a global medical device company, he learned first-hand that is possible to contribute to scientific commercialization in many different ways. In the midst of COVID-19 lockdowns, Sudeep served as a contract consultant intern in the Health Informatics and Telehealth Division, gathering competitive intelligence for Bioserenity’s epilepsy sector.
