Interdisciplinary Training in Science, Business, Entrepreneurship and Law
Through our graduate programs, students receive interdisciplinary training in science, business, entrepreneurship, and law, and they can tailor their courses to their career interests. Combined with research and internship opportunities, students are prepared to advance human health through a variety of exciting career fields, including biotechnology, pharmaceutics, entrepreneurship, education, government and more.
- Our talented, ambitious students have outstanding academic credentials and numerous accomplishments. While some of our students have enrolled directly after their undergraduate studies to make themselves competitive for the job market or professional school, others are seeking to make late-stage career changes or advances.
- Our Master’s and Ph.D. students in the Institute for Biomedical Sciences have a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. Our students come from across the United States and internationally from countries including, but not limited to, Bangladesh, China, South Korea, Ghana, Nigeria and Costa Rica.

Biomedical Science Graduate Achieves Fulfilling Career as Physical TherapistAfter earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree at Georgia State, Dylan McCouch (B.S. ’16, M.I.S. ’18) reached higher to earn a doctor’s degree and now works as a physical therapist in the Atlanta area.
